Every Extend Extra (E3) for those who don't know is a 2D tactical puzzle shooter; if that makes sense. From the same team that brought you Lumines, E3 is a shooter with a difference, the difference being that rather than trying to not die, you must blow yourself up.
Various formations of enemies enter the screen at varying speeds and you must time your 'suicide' in order to create the biggest explosive chain possible. Chaining over a certain number results in your stock increasing. Once your stock has run out or the time runs out, it's game over. Simple you might think.
The bosses require certain conditions to defeat them (chain 5 or more, 12 or more, or a number of hits), and really the skill in this game is ensuring that you have enough stock and enough time to clear the boss.
The graphics are not mind blowing however the gameplay is, and after all that's what counts.
I could go on, but i feel the review above is starting to be more of a mini FAQ. So in short buy it!
